How many revisions are supported?
Revisions in WordPress enable you to go back and see what changed in previous versions of the post.
However one needs to strike a balance, as keeping multiple revisions for each post is resource demanding. The flexibility that WordPress revisions give, is countered by the performance cost. Thus, we decided to allow 5 revisions (excluding the ones by auto-save).
Please contact our support and open a support request if you believe your use case requires a different limit. We will investigate this and report back our findings.
Need help?
If you are not sure which revision to restore, or the version you need is not available, contact our Support team before making further changes.
Where to go next
- Roll back to a previous version if you need to restore an earlier deployment revision.
- Deploy staging to production when the corrected version is ready to go live.
- Create an instant backup before applying new production changes.
- Review access and error logs if you need to investigate what changed before the rollback.
