Pressidium EDGE is included with every hosting plan at no extra cost. It unlocks next-generation speed, security, and availability for your WordPress sites, all by routing traffic through our global edge network.
Note: This guide applies to accounts provisioned on Pressidium's Advanced Network that wish to transition to the Pressidium EDGE Global Network.
Before You Begin
Make sure you:
Have access to your domain’s DNS settings (e.g., your DNS host or domain registrar). You will need to upgrade your website's DNS records as a final step in activating Pressidium EDGE for websites in your account.
To ensure a smoother transition, it is recommended to lower the TTL (Time-To-Live) settings for your domains. This allows DNS changes to propagate more quickly. You may restore the TTL to its original value after the upgrade.
Enabling Pressidium EDGE only takes a few minutes.
All you need to do is request a free upgrade directly from your Dashboard.
Sign in using your credentials
After logging in, you should be redirected to the upgrade page. Alternatively locate the Upgrade Banner at the top of the page and click Upgrade Now to navigate to the upgrade page. If you are member in multiple teams you will need to select / login to the desired team first.
Then click Schedule a free upgrade to request an upgrade.
That will open a support ticket, and our team will be right on it with follow-up instructions.
Note: If the upgrade banner is not visible, don’t worry, you can easily request the upgrade by opening a support ticket and specifying that you want to upgrade to Pressidium EDGE. Our team will follow up with instructions.
The final steps in the process require updating DNS Records to verify domain ownership and routing traffic to Pressidium EDGE network. If you need more information on the latter, please visit the related article on How to add a domain and update DNS records (Pressidium EDGE)
