WordPress site settings
The Settings page shows site-level configuration for your WordPress site.
To open it, go to Websites and click the site you want to manage. Then go to WordPress > Settings.
Use this page to review site status, origin connection details, CDN status, Basic Authentication, and website deletion options.
The Settings page contains:
- Site Status: Lets you enable or temporarily disable the site.
- Server Origin: Shows the origin server connection settings used by mapped domains.
- CDN: Shows whether CDN delivery is enabled.
- Password Protection: Lets you protect the site with Basic Authentication.
- Danger Zone: Contains irreversible actions, including website deletion.
Site Status
The Site Status section lets you control whether the site is active.

When the toggle is enabled, the site is active and can receive traffic through Pressidium EDGE.
When the site is disabled, it is temporarily prevented from receiving traffic.
Important: Disabling a site can affect live visitors. Use this option only when you intentionally want to stop traffic for this site.
Server Origin
The Server Origin section shows the origin connection settings for the site.

Mapped domains share the server origin settings of the primary domain.
The settings include:
- Hostname or IP Address: The origin server address.
- Connection Protocol: How Pressidium EDGE connects to the origin.
- Origin TLS Mode: How Pressidium EDGE verifies HTTPS connections to the origin.
Use this section to confirm that EDGE is sending valid uncached requests to the expected origin.
Note: Origin settings affect all mapped domains that use this site configuration.
CDN
The CDN section shows whether CDN delivery is enabled for the site.

CDN is automatically enabled for websites using the Pressidium EDGE global network.
When enabled, cacheable content can be delivered from EDGE instead of being requested from the origin every time.
Password Protection
The Password Protection section lets you protect your website with Basic Authentication.

When Basic Authentication is enabled, visitors must enter valid credentials before they can access the site.
Click Edit Credentials to update the username or password used for Basic Authentication.
Important: Basic Authentication affects visitor access. Share credentials only with trusted users who need access to the site.
Change Basic Authentication credentials
Click Edit Credentials to open the Change Credentials modal.
Enter the new credentials:
- New Username: The username required to access the site.
- New Password: The password required to access the site.
Use the password controls to show, generate, or copy the password.
Use a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and includes a mix of characters, numbers, and special symbols.
Click Change to save the new credentials, or Cancel to close the modal without saving.
Important: Changing Basic Authentication credentials affects anyone who currently uses the existing username and password to access the site. Share the new credentials only with trusted users.
Danger Zone
The Danger Zone section contains irreversible actions.

The Website delete option removes the website from the Pressidium EDGE platform.
Warning: Website deletion is irreversible. If you delete the website, you will need to start over to re-add it to your account.

Common issues and solutions
The site is not receiving traffic
Check whether Site Status is enabled.
If the site is disabled, it is temporarily prevented from receiving traffic through Pressidium EDGE. Enable the site again only when you are ready for it to receive traffic.
Visitors are asked for username and password
Basic Authentication may be enabled.
Go to Password Protection and check whether Basic Authentication is active. If the site should be publicly accessible, disable Password Protection.
Basic Authentication credentials do not work
The username or password may have changed.
Go to Password Protection and click Edit Credentials to set new credentials. Share the updated credentials only with trusted users who need access.
The site connects to the wrong origin
Review the Server Origin section.
Confirm that the Hostname or IP Address, Connection Protocol, and Origin TLS Mode match the intended origin server. Remember that mapped domains share the server origin settings of the primary domain.
CDN appears disabled
Review the CDN section to confirm the current status.
If CDN is disabled unexpectedly, check whether the site is configured correctly and whether the domain is routed through Pressidium EDGE.
I deleted a website by mistake
Website deletion is irreversible.
You will need to add the website again to your account and repeat the required setup steps.
