Use this checklist to confirm that your WordPress site has been added to Pressidium EDGE correctly and is ready to serve traffic through EDGE.

Setup verification checklist

1. Confirm domain ownership is verified

Check that domain ownership verification has completed in the Pressidium Dashboard.

If verification is still pending, follow Verify your domain for Pressidium EDGE and confirm that the required DNS verification record has been added correctly.

If you selected Free by Pressidium, domain verification must complete before the managed SSL certificate can be issued.

2. Confirm DNS records are pointing to EDGE

Open WordPress > Domains > Configure > DNS Details > Point Domain / Traffic and compare the routing records shown there with the records configured at your DNS provider.

Check that:

  • The domain points to the EDGE records shown in the Dashboard.
  • All required routing records have been added.
  • Old origin records have been removed or replaced where required.
  • There are no conflicting records for the same hostname.
  • The correct hostname was updated, such as the root domain or www.

If the routing records are not configured yet, follow Point your domain traffic to Pressidium EDGE.

3. Confirm SSL is active

  1. Go to WordPress > Domains in the Pressidium Dashboard.
  2. Confirm that the HTTPS column shows SSL Enabled for your domain.
  3. Open your website using https:// and confirm that it loads without browser certificate warnings.
  4. Check that the SSL certificate covers the hostname you are visiting.
  5. If you use both the root domain (such as example.com) and the www version (www.example.com), verify HTTPS works correctly for both.
  6. If you enabled Force Redirect to HTTPS, open the website using http:// and confirm that it redirects to HTTPS.

If the certificate is still pending, confirm that domain ownership verification has completed. For Pressidium-managed certificates, issuance depends on successful domain verification.

If the certificate does not activate, see SSL certificate not activating.

If SSL Enabled appears in the Dashboard but your browser reports a certificate or HTTPS error, see Troubleshoot SSL and HTTPS errors.

4. Confirm the site loads through EDGE

Open the website in a private browser window.

Check that:

  • The homepage loads correctly
  • Internal pages load correctly
  • Images, CSS, JavaScript, and fonts load correctly
  • WordPress admin remains accessible
  • Forms, checkout, login, or membership areas behave as expected

5. Confirm WordPress integration is connected

Go to WordPress → At a glance and confirm that the site is connected to Pressidium EDGE. If not, you will see a related message instead of the page sections.

In that case, follow the instructions to connect WordPress to EDGE.

6. Confirm caching is working as expected

Open a public page of the website.

Check that the page loads normally and that recently updated content appears as expected.

Then test a page that should not be cached, such as:

  • WordPress admin
  • Login page
  • Cart page
  • Checkout page
  • Account page
  • Any page excluded by your cache rules

Public pages should benefit from EDGE caching. Sensitive or user-specific pages should continue to behave dynamically.

7. Confirm security features are available

  1. Open the site’s security area in the Pressidium Dashboard.
  2. Check that the Firewall and security controls are available for the site.
  3. If you configured any custom security rules, confirm that they are enabled and scoped correctly.

8. Confirm traffic appears in EDGE analytics

After the site receives traffic:

  1. Open the site’s traffic or analytics area in the Pressidium Dashboard.
  2. Check that requests are being recorded.

This confirms that traffic is reaching Pressidium EDGE.

If no traffic appears after DNS has propagated, confirm that the live domain points to EDGE rather than directly to the origin. Follow Point your domain traffic to Pressidium EDGE to review the routing configuration.

Common issues and solutions

Domain verification remains pending

Confirm that the required verification DNS record has propagated and matches the values shown in the Pressidium Dashboard.

For detailed checks and resolution steps, see Verify your domain for Pressidium EDGE.

Site loads, but assets are broken

Check whether images, CSS, or JavaScript are loading from a domain that is not connected correctly.

Also confirm that mixed content is not being loaded over http://.

SSL certificate is not active

If the HTTPS column does not show SSL Enabled, follow SSL certificate not activating to identify and resolve the issue.

WordPress admin or checkout behaves incorrectly

Review your cache exclusions.

Dynamic areas such as admin, login, cart, checkout, account, and logged-in sessions should not be cached like normal public pages.

No traffic appears in EDGE analytics

Allow time for traffic-routing DNS changes to propagate, then test the site again.

If traffic still does not appear, confirm that the live domain points to EDGE rather than directly to the origin. Follow Point your domain traffic to Pressidium EDGE to review the required routing configuration.
